Oak Log Mushroom
Cocktail  /  End table
oak log coffee/cocktail table REmushroom
I wanted a mushroom or bonsai look as I started this table design. The top was a 29 inch diameter, 4 inch thick, solid Oak slice of a log. By slicing the log as such, on the top fully visible are the annual rings of the tree. You may count them to determine the age. The top  sets atop a  log base, hollowed and seasoned in our kiln.

I selected a "spalted" log for the top as I wanted the contrast of colors that you can see along it's edge. The finish is multiple coats of hand rubbed satin sheen urethane.

Sizes available depend upon current logs in stock but, generally from 16 to 30 inches in diameter.  Since we create each one specifically for each client, heights can be what you wish. Heights for a coffee or end type tables are generally 18 to 22 inches. Let us know what height you might want. Costs for a similar mushroom table, depending upon size, range from  $1,100 to  $1,500.
