Pro's n con's

Pro

It's ONE piece. Leaving little doubt in the viewers mind of the size of the root it came from.

It's SOLID - will never come apart, even if dropped.

Edging has patches of bark and/or burlish materials. Natural beauty.

You will see down into the bark areas.. But they will be flush.. With the top.

Con's

The bark patches you see on the top will need finely sanded and filled with clear resin to bring level to the top

Tyler,
Enjoyed our conversation of today concerning the table top and it's edgings. I am excited about the decision to move ahead with a one piece top and, am proceeding poste haste in that direction.

Immediately the 60" top will be rough cut from the slab leaving room for working the edge & will move the piece into the milling room where the top can be worked down in order to reasonably reduce the fill levels while maintaining substantial and proportional thickness of this magnificent piece. Will keep you posted with photo's and verbiage. mike
