Large log bench
This large Oak Log bench was created at the request of COSI studio's of Columbus, Ohio. There were 5 of them created for use in a museum.
The Oak Log used was 20 inches wide.
It sets 18 inches tall and is 5 ft. long.
It is chunky! The lower support logs extend beyond the widest part of the seat about 5 inches.
Weight - about 400 pounds each.
If you are considering this bench for outside.
It is White Oak and erodes at a rate of 1/8 inch per CENTURY.
It is HEAVY.. do not plan on moving it around much unless you have a forklift truck.
Costs - About $1,200.00 each
To do this bench right, I need time for seasoning.
