Inverting (turning the stump upside down) with flared section up, exposes great beauty: The "plain stump" table (photo left) exposed is the wonderful wood graining, swirling wood grain, and burl. Inverting a Root stump table , (right) exposes gorgeous natural intricacies of the root structure.
Glass can be custom cut in lengths of up to ten feet and widths up to five feet are standard. Other sizes available. Often our clients purchase glass at their location and have it installed upon the bases that we provide. We can, if you wish provide the glass tops..
Inverted rootballs, for the root table design, are available as of this writing, in uniquely large sizes. Large enough, that, by themselves, with a stone lower base will support 10 foot long and 5 feet wide glass tops.
This photo of plain stumps, inverted was taken at the clients home during an install. The glass top table seats 12. Also, makes a great conference table. More
